Kitty Day is a part of FFA where we organize the farm for 2nd grade kids. Kids from the elementary schools around Lindsay come during the week to learn about the farm animals. We usually have pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, a horse, a cow and even plants to show the kids. Each person gets assigned an animal and creates a poster with simple facts to explain to the kids as they rotate around the farm.

In Ag Econ, we are currently coming up with designs and ideas on how to set up the farm. To help us get a more visual idea of how we wanted our farm to look, we went on a field trip to Exeter Highschool, VTec and to a grape field to learn how they manage their farm. We got a tour around both schools, telling us how they managed their farms and the new projects they wanted to start in the future. At the grape field, we got information on how to start planting grapes.

Homecoming |
Four of my friends and I went to Dinuba to compete in the Vet Science contest. We competed against many different schools around the U.S in 3 areas. The first area was identifying different veterinary tools, second identifying different breeds of animals and finally a multiple question veterinarian test. We all did the tests separate, along with other students and in the end we all got the chance to make friends with students from different schools. We also ate lunch their with all the other FFA Chapters.

Guitar Society |
For Homecoming week, I was nominated by Art Club to run for queen. I had to make posters and food to get people votes throughout the week. For the into rally, I had to wear a dress and I was escorted by my partner Cristian Sanchez. We both had to dress up according to the days and participate in lunch activities, such as playing a game of doge ball, doctor and having our escorts put shaving cream in our hair. Which, by the way, wasn't easy to get out at all! At the Powder Puff football game, I was announced to run for top 10. Later on, at the football rally, Cristian and I had to participate in games, such as running a race against the other nominees to find out top 5. I didn't make it to top 5, but I was honored to get the chance to run for queen, I enjoyed it a lot!

Church Retreat |
Guitar Society happened once a month on every Wednesday, where anybody was allowed to come to perform. People from Lindsay and other places would come and play their guitar for us and even sing songs. One after another, people would go up and play and even perform songs they would make themselves. My friends would go up to practice their songs too, along with my guitar teacher. Their songs were always amazing and soothing.
