When I began my freshman year, I choose Agriculture as my pathway because I wanted to become a veterinarian when I grew up. I am now a senior and still continue to have Agriculture as my pathway. I have taken the class for 4 years now and still continue to love it. I've learned a lot about animals. such as their body parts, how to care for them, the diseases they could have, and even have done chores around the farm. I've participated in the FFA events, which include Kitty Day, the 8th grade tour and the Vet Science contest. As a class we have gone on trips to the fair to observe how they show animals and how other school farms are organized. Even though Agriculture has been my pathway, over the years I have leaned more towards becoming an artist and animate movies.
When I graduate, my plans are to attend Porterville College for 2 years to get my prerequisite classes out of the way. At the same time I will be taking an art class their that will allow me to get my AA degree in art, Afterwards, If I plan on going further with my art, I hope to get the highest degree in art which is the MFA (Master of Fine Arts). Therefore after I have completed my 2 years here, I will transfer to a UC University.
